FEC Deadlines for 2021

While there are only a handful of off-year elections or special races in 2021, candidate committees, PACs, and political parties are still required to submit regular filings to the Federal Election Commission. To keep up with the deadlines this year, download one of these helpful PDFs from CMDI:

In non-election years, the FEC permits PACs and party committees to change filing deadlines from monthly to semi-annual as long as they are not engaged in election activities. In order to change filing frequency, treasurers must notify the FEC. For 2021, the semi-annual filing deadlines are:

  • Sunday, January 31, 2021

  • Saturday, July 31, 2021

  • Monday, January 31, 2022

If you have questions about an upcoming deadline, please reach out to the Reports Analysis Division at the FEC.
