Is your Senate campaign ready for E-file?
On October 15, the October Quarterly reports will be due. Is your campaign prepared to submit your reports electronically to the Federal Election Commission?Last month, President Trump signed a new bill that made the FEC the official Point of Entry for all Senate filings. Senate campaigns are now required to submit all reports directly to the FEC and follow the same electronic filing requirements that have applied to all other types of committees since January 1, 2000.Because this process is new, The Crimson Support Team wrote two additional guides to make it easier to e-file: 1. CrimsonFiler: Electronic Filing PasswordsWhile your CrimsonFiler database is already set up for electronic filing, you must request an electronic password from the FEC to e-file. This process can take a couple of business days to complete, so please review this guide and request your password today. 2. CrimsonFiler: Successful/Unsuccessful Submission and VerificationOnce you have submitted your October Quarterly report, follow the steps in this guide for confirmation if your filing was successfully submitted.Since we are days away from the next deadline, please make sure that you have an electronic password and are ready to submit your October Quarterly reports. If you have any questions, contact the Crimson Support Team at 1-800-878-6837 or check the Crimson Helpdesk for guides on how to use CrimsonFiler.
