2019-2020 FEC Political Donation Limits

With the 2020 election cycle getting underway, now is a good time to remember that the Federal Election Commission increased the limits for a few types of donations:

Individual donors:

  • Gifts to candidate committees increased from $2,700 to $2,800 per election (total of $5,600 per cycle).
  • Gifts to national party committees increased from $33,900 to $35,500.
  • Gifts to national party accounts increased from $101,700 to $106,500.

PAC (Nonmulticandidate): 

  • Gifts to candidate committees increased from $2,700 to $2,800 per election.
  • Gifts to national party committees increased from $33,900 to $35,500.
  • Gifts to national party accounts increased from $101,700 to $106,500.
